Tomorrow is no guarantee!

Life! One minute you can be living it to the fullest. The next you can have that life taken from you. As I sit and read the paper on the computer every morning, I am reminded how lucky I am to be on this earth, live in Montana where it is fairly crime free and have the great family and friends that I do. I read about two young guys from Circle whose lives were taken as a result of a motor vehicle accident or a man and young boy whose lives were taken by a devastating tornado or a soldier who was killed as a result of a roadside bomb overseas. So many times in our lives we think, oh that will never be us. We begin to think that we are invincible and that nothing can stop us. Is that really the case? I think not! These articles and real-life encounters with life make you realize the importance of family, sharing love with friends and family and being a good friend and neighbor. Remember, tomorrow is no guarantee until you wake up.

Rain is a Good Thing

What better way to start blogging that to report that NE Montana has received very nice amounts of rain fall during the spring so far, almost 4 inches here at little Poverty Acres. :) The pastures are greening up, the crops are coming up nicely and everyone seems pretty optimistic about a good year for farming. With that said, that should turn into a few more sales of high quality John Deere equipment for this "Deere Man" I began my love affair with John Deere at an early age, playing with Tonka toys and John Deere tractors in my sand box and around the fort we built. It grew even larger when I was old enough to ride with the Bouchards' as they cut corn, baled hay and plowed the fields in the fall. There was just something about that green paint that drew me in. That love transferred through my adolescent years, through college and now into my career of working for a John Deere dealer. It can be summed up in five short words, "Nothing Runs Like a Deere"!
